America's Helping Hands is proud to announce that we are
officially in business and hopefully accomplishing wonderful
endeavors in our communities.
Since
receiving our non-profit status in September of 1998, we have had
several showings of the Celebrity Hands, helped numerous people in
need, created a memorable experience for a very ill mom and her son,
and a fundraiser that helped us see the starting line.
It has been a long haul for all of us that have
had the vision of "Making A Difference".
Mel and I sat around the table one evening and
discovered that we both had a desire in common, simple: to make a
difference in others lives. You could have never told us that five
years later we would be operating a Foundation that has three other
dedicated board members, volunteers that come to the plate when we
need them and people in the community that believe in us.
We are only at the beginning and there is
much to do. There are many people out there that need us, a simple
"HELPING HAND". We will continue to seek out alike minds that
have the same vision, to Make A Difference in the lives of
others.
We of course are
practical, we know that we can't take care of everyone, but if there
is a will, we just might find the way.
